About Dr. Elizabeth Holloway
Dr. Elizabeth Holloway, a full professor and psychologist, has had over 25 years of international experience as a practitioner, trainer and consultant in relational practice with organizations, groups, trainers, and mental health clients. She has held faculty appointments at the Universities of California, Utah, Oregon, and Wisconsin where she has led research and training in the areas of supervision, mentoring, coaching, communities of practice and toxic personalities. She served as Co-director of the Organizational Supervision program at the IAS Institute in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland from 1998 to 2006 and has conducted teaching workshops on her models of practice in: United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, The Netherlands Switzerland, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Czech Republic, United States, Taiwan, and Germany.
During her career, Elizabeth has received numerous grants and awards for her research including being named a Fellow of Counseling Psychology by the American Psychological Association and the American Educational Research Association Research Award. A recognized scholar-practitioner, she holds the highest practitioner distinction in counseling psychology, Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a Certified Emotional Intelligence (EQ) coach.
Elizabeth has over 100 articles, chapters and presentations that represent her research and practice throughout her career. She has authored or co-authored four books. Her most recent, Toxic Workplace! Managing Toxic Personalities and Their Systems of Power (coauthored with M. Kusy) addresses issues leaders face to mitigate and prevent the effects of toxicity in their organizations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Honors Psychology, University of Waterloo (Canada), a Masters degree in Counseling, University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a Diplomate of Counseling Psychology, Board of Professional Psychology, Fellow of American Psychological Association, Leadership Fellow University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Professor of Psychology PhD Program in Leadership & Change, Antioch University
